About the Company (X Square Robot)
X Square Robot is an embodied AI company focused on the development of foundation models for the physical world. The company has launched the WALL series of embodied AI foundation models, including WALL-B, the world’s first embodied AI foundation model based on a World Unified Model architecture, enabling native multimodal integration across vision, language, and action, with capabilities for physical-world understanding and continuous self-improvement. To drive the global ecosystem, the company has also open-sourced its "WALL-OSS" and "Wall-OSS-0.5" foundation models and training code for developers worldwide, underpinned by a model-driven data closed-loop system.
X Square Robot uses open, randomized real-world data as its primary data source to build general-purpose robots with fine manipulation capabilities. The company also develops and continuously optimizes robot hardware designed for multimodal foundation-model control, including the QUANTA X1 Pro wheeled dual-arm robot and the next-generation QUANTA X2 wheeled humanoid robot. Its wheeled dual-arm robot systems have already been commercially deployed across industrial logistics, home services and elderly care, hospitality, and other real-world scenarios.
About the Speaker
Dr. Hao Wang is the Co-founder and Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of X Square Robot. He holds a Ph.D. in Computational Physics from Peking University and is a veteran in large-scale models. He previously led the LLM team at the IDEA Research Institute, where he spearheaded the development of China’s first multimodal model "Taiyi" and the 100-billion-parameter "Ziya" series.
