Prof. Jae Young Kim, Executive Vice-President for Research Affairs, Seoul National University (SNU) and Ms. Jaeyeon Shin, Manager, Office of Planning & Coordination, SNU, visited the CKSRI

On June 23, 2023, Prof. Jae Young Kim, Executive Vice-President for Research Affairs, Seoul National University (SNU) and Ms. Jaeyeon Shin, Manager, Office of Planning & Coordination, SNU, visited the Cheng Kar-Shun Robotics Institute (CKSRI) and witness outstanding project demonstrations, accompanied by Dr. Shin Cheul Kim, Associate Vice-President for Research and Development (Knowledge Transfer), HKUST and Prof. ZHANG Fumin, Director of CKSRI, HKUST.

The tour showcased three projects: a flying drone controlled by gestures, the nurse robot Grace, and a book-flipping robotic arm. The guests and Director engaged in productive discussions and exchanged suggestions on the projects and other related fields.

The visit was an excellent opportunity for the representatives from Seoul National University to witness the innovative research and development taking place at HKUST and to explore potential areas for collaboration between the two universities. Overall, it was a successful and productive visit that fostered greater cooperation and knowledge sharing between the two universities.
